Mr Quinton Zunga

CEO & co-founder

 

Bachelor of Business Science and Computer Science, Masters in Science Finance

 

Quinton is the founding partner and CEO of RH Managers and brings with him over 14 years of experience at senior management level at blue chip companies such as Arkein Capital, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays.

 

Prior to founding RH Managers, Quinton co-founded Arkein Capital Partners (a black owned fund manager with R1.2 billion funds under management). Quinton was responsible for raising and structuring capital. (This was a vital part in insuring Arkein's projects were funded appropriately for the duration of the project, matching investor requirements and funding instruments.)

 

His previous experience was as a Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch SA from 2007 until April 2011. Preceding this, Quinton headed debt capital markets for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa at Absa Capital.

 

Prior to this Quinton was associate director for debt capital markets at Barclays Bank in SA. In this role he developed Africa’s debt capital markets, helping to launch the first medium-term notes in Botswana, Tanzania, Mauritius and Zambia. He also led the issue of municipal bonds by the City of Johannesburg. Quinton has completed over 40 projects, all of which he led, managed or co-managed.

 

Quinton has served on the executive committee of the Debt Insurers Association (SA), which is an associate of the Institute of Bankers and he is also a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries.

 

Mr Sam Matimba

Head of Origination

Sam has vast financial and strategic experience in the implementing and monitoring of diverse initiatives for both international and local institutions, across varied sectors and industries. He has previously been contracted by the EU, the IDC as well as various Danish aid agencies in their pre- and post-investment management.

 

With over 17 years’ experience, Sam has worked extensively in the fields of strategic advisory, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, venture capital, private equity, corporate restructurings, management consulting, accounting, auditing, business assessments and evaluations and process implementations. He has served on numerous boards of portfolio companies.

 

Previous experience includes posts at Arkein Capital Partners, Kairos Capital Partners, Siseko Capital, Utho Capital, Innscor Ltd, Deloitte & Touché and Ernst & Young. Sam is a fully qualified Accountant, has studied for an MBA in strategy and finance, and is currently a PHD candidate.

 

Ms Vuyokazi Nomvalo

Investment Principal

Vuyokazi completed her articles with PWC in 2009 where she served within the Financial Services sector. In this period she was exposed to the audit process of various financial institutions including Standard Bank Equities, First National Bank Credit, Liberty Life, Absa Credit and RMB Merchant bank (RMB stockbroking, RMB Securities and RMB Morgan Stanley).

 

Vuyokazi subsequently joined the IDC (Industrial Development Corporation) as a Business Analyst, and was later promoted to Project Manager. During her time at the IDC, Vuyokazi gained valuable experience in deal-making within the various sectors including the Renewable Energy Procurement Programme. Vuyokazi has been involved in various projects submitted for the REPP Programme, with four of these being projects awarded the preferred bidder status.

 

Mr Dean Dimairo

Investment Associate

 

Bus.Sci. Computer Science, CFA

 

Dean started his career as a graduate trainee at FBC Bank, gaining exposure in all aspects of banking, stock-broking, trade finance and equity research, before eventually focusing on corporate finance.

 

He has strong experience in corporate finance transactions including stock exchange listings, mergers and acquisitions, LBOs and rights issues. He has held leading roles in various tasks including deal sourcing and negotiations, valuations, due diligence, deal structuring and project appraisals. He has served on the Investment Committee of FBCs Proprietary and Pension funds.

 

Other job titles Dean has held include Assistant Manager Corporate Finance, Credit Analyst and Corporate Finance Analyst. Before joining Arkein, Dean was an Investment Analyst at Emergent Capital.

 

Ms Senamile Malebese

Investment Associate

 

 

B.Com (Accounting), B. Com Honours in Fin. Econo & Investment Management

 

Senamile began her career at Vunani Capital Ltd in July 2010 as a Corporate Finance Analyst. Here she worked on various Corporate Finance transactions that included capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, valuations and advisory to different sectors. Transactions in debt advisory included the issue of the last two tappings to the Landbank’s R10 Billion Domestic Medium Term Note Programme, the National Treasury $1 billion global bond issue as well as the Eskom $1 billion bond issue.

 

In 2014, Senamile joined Deloitte & Touche as a Corporate Finance Valuations Consultant where she completed various valuation assignments for companies such as the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) and Westcon.

 

She joined RH Managers in 2014 as an Investment Associate.

 

 

Lebogang Mahlatji

Administration Associate

 

National Diploma in Accounting

 

Lebogang obtained her qualification at Wits Technikon in Johannesburg and is currently studying towards a Bcompt Degree at UNISA. She has more than 10 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry.

 

Beginning her career at Stanlib Wealth Management where she was involved in unit trust administration from 2003 until 2005, Lebogang was promoted to Client Service Consultant in 2005. She worked in this position until 2008, where she was involved in compliance, liaising with internal departments and processing clients’ instructions.

 

In 2008, Lebogang moved to Investment Solutions as a senior administrator and in 2012 to ABSA Financial Services as a LISP Administrator. 

 

Her current position as Senior Administrator has her involved in processing claims on endowment, retirement annuities, guarantee products and compiling team stats.

 

 

Ms Ayanda Khumalo

Legal Associate

 

LLB (Wits)

 

Ayanda started her career at MD Attorneys in 2012, focusing her expertise on fund structuring, banking and finance law. She was further involved in FSB compliance work, trust registration, company registration and liaising with the respective entities.

 

In 2014, Ayanda moved to Arkein Capital where she has been involved with FSB compliance. 

 

 

Mr Bevan Smith

Investment Principal

 

Bcompt Accounting Honours (UNISA), CA (SA), CFA

 

 

Bevan completed his articles with EY in 2009, which focused around the audit of insurance entities. On completion of his articles Bevan joined EY London for a three-month secondment.

 

On returning to South Africa he joined EY’s corporate finance division for a period of 3 years where he gained experience across various sectors including healthcare. In 2013 he joined Accelerate Property Fund (APF) to assist in their successful listing on the JSE, followed by the implementation of APF’s operational infrastructure.
